BRING ON THE BEST OF BRITISH BBQ
Primula moulds its famous formula to the alfresco season with its
unique twist on the traditional burger
Barbeque season is well and truly upon us and while we pray for the glorious weather to continue, why not invite your friends round for some good food and great times with Primula’s tasty pork burgers.
This quick and simple recipe is a perfect for all you budding alfresco chefs, so get the beer on ice, fire up the barbie and follow these simple steps to create a mouth watering burger!
Ingredients
450g/1lb Pork mince
2 tubes
Chive cheese spread
1 medium onion finely diced
Large pinch of cracked or ground black pepper
Flour to roll & shape
Method:
1. Place mince,
, diced onion & pepper in a large bowl & mix well
2. Scoop a quarter of the mince mix into flour dusted hands and place on a well floured surface
3. Sprinkle flour over the top of mince mix to help prevent sticking, mould into a ball with palms of hands then place onto a greased baking sheet
4. Pat down ball until it is flattened to no more than 1inch in height & resembles a burger shape, repeat with remaining mix
5. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes before cooking
6. Place gently onto the BBQ, turning only when base is slightly browning (ideally cook in a sausage/fish wire).
Serving suggestions: Serve in a crusty bread roll layered with lettuce & tomato slices, for an extra treat why not top with a swirl of your favourite
flavour for a really cheesy treat!
